Dearest and faithful birds…

We have SO much to tell you about, so be prepared for a monster blog… and apologies in advance for the length, but we have so much great news to pack in, we’ll keep it as brief as possible.

New Website

Finally! It is here! www.birdeatsbaby.co.uk has had a much needed facelift and looks FUCKING GORGEOUS.
Thanks to the one and only Dara Fitzgerald (yes, that is Mishkin’s husband) we now have a beautiful (and much more user friendly) website with many new features including a community section!

What’s that you say? YES. We now have an official Birdeatsbaby forum where you can discuss anything from your favourite song, to your favourite type of cheese. Suggest a band you’ve just discovered, or shamelessly self-promote! To make this a little more tempting, the first 5 people to join up and post a comment will receive a FREE copy of our new EP Bigger Teeth (winners will be notified by email).

The community/forum will be the FIRST place to hear about competitions, news and the like, members will receive special offers and privileges, and if you have any questions/suggestions/comments for the band, feel free to post them on there and we will get back to you…. go go go! Join the community

Birdeatsbaby Songbook/Sheet Music

I know some of you have been waiting an awful long time for this…. apologies it has taken me nearly a year to put together! BUT, FINALLY, the first ever Birdeatsbaby songbook is now available for pre-order!

As you may notice, we’re selling the violin and cello parts separately as add-ons, as we imagine not everyone will need the string parts, and this means the main book with all the pretty artwork costs you less! …although of course we would love to hear a full band cover of a song or two if you’re lucky enough to know a cellist (they are rare and wondrous creatures).

Doing the sheet music from scratch has really been a labour of love, Mishkin has been laboriously scoring it on Sibelius for the last few months like a crazy thing. The whole thing is being printed and then put together by hand too, which is rather time-consuming, so we really hope they sell!

We are very much looking forward to hearing your cover versions of the songs, so if you’d like to get hold of the sheet music, click HERE to pre-order. The book should be ready for shipping on 27^th September… I just have to figure out how to put it all together!! (arg)

Bigger Teeth Pre-orders

Right, we’ve also got our new (and eagerly anticipated) EP Bigger Teeth available for pre-order! This also includes a free download which will be sent over via email on the day of release…. woot!

Before touring, we have not one but TWO launch parties to celebrate the release of the EP, which we would LOVE for you to attend, and party with us! Tickets are only £5 for either show, and we’ve hand picked the supporting artists ourselves so both nights should be incredible!
