Hello birds!
What a hectic month November has been… thought it was time to send out a little newsletter to let you know how things are in bird-land…
We kicked off November with a killer gig at the Half Moon, Herne Hill with She Makes War (a fabulous solo artist who will be playing with us at our album launch in February). It ended with some fireworks and plenty of jagerbombs. Classic birdeatsbaby style.
Later that month we were lucky enough to have a live session on
Brighton’s Juice FM with Tony Marks. You can still listen again to us chatting with Tony and playing a very special version of Rosary with extra double bass and drums
HERE.
We’ve also begun to gig our new single ‘Incitatus’ which sees us taking an even heavier direction with Garry using distortion for his bass guitar. Apparently this setting = face-melting.
Speaking of our new single… we’ve made a new music video at an incredible location thanks to
Polly Harvey (amazing photograher and lady) and Ben Wallace who very kindly let us take over their home, studio and lives for a weekend. I sincerely hope they have recovered! This is ONLY photo I have from one of the nights, so it must have been fun!
The music video for Incitatus will be out in January, please brace yourselves! It is possibly the most ambitious song and video we’ve ever done… here is a little teaser, we’ll be releasing a couple more over December to keep you going!
November finished with a show at The George in London (lovely venue) with
Rasp Thorne and The Briars where we witnessed our first Birdeatsbaby tattoo – AWESOME.
…and we also played the Juice FM showcase in Brighton where this photo was taken. ROAR.

Finally, our next (and FINAL) gig of 2011 will be with the incredible MIDNIGHT LYCAN PARTY up in Stoke at The Rigger. It will be amazing to be reunited with this band after 3 years, we are VERY excited so do come along and see us before the year is out. Details all HERE.
I hope you have a fantastic run-up to Christmas, we’ll be in touch soon with more news… Don’t forget you can buy tickets for our album launch party in February HERE.
Love & Feathers,
Birdeatsbaby x
